FAQ
🥇 General questions – Top 5
Who can use 2 Minutes Max?
Initially created to address recruitment challenges, the platform is used by candidates, who record their 2’MAX from their computer or phone.
Companies use the solution in their recruitment processes to discover candidates beyond the CV, instead of scheduling pre-qualification calls or video interviews.
Schools, training organizations, employment support structures, and inclusion-focused actors can use it to help their audiences develop personally and improve their employability.
The service is also used for various types of selection processes — such as admissions, competitions, or project calls — offering a simple experience for candidates and a centralized interface for organizers to manage all submitted profiles.
If 2 Minutes Max is free, who pays for the service and what is the price?
The platform is free for candidates, who can create their profile and decide whether they want to add it to their CV, their LinkedIn profile, or send it to specific companies.
For companies receiving a link, watching the video once for free simply requires entering their professional email address and the access key provided by the candidate.
Companies, schools, and training or employment organizations can subscribe to a monthly or annual plan, with no commitment, starting at €79/month.
This subscription gives them unlimited access to all the profiles they receive, 24/7, without an access key — whether to track progress when supporting people, or to browse candidate profiles during a recruitment process.
Why not just upload a video to YouTube or send it directly?
Unlike hosting platforms such as YouTube — or a video recorded on a phone — your video pitch cannot be downloaded.
You can edit it, update it at any time, and deactivate it whenever you want.
It’s a secure, authentic, always up-to-date video presentation that the candidate fully controls, and it is encrypted in the database.
The service also provides a very simple recording experience, accessible to everyone, with an integrated note-taking window.
For companies receiving the link, it guarantees an authentic video, one that cannot be uploaded like on YouTube — and therefore guaranteed free of AI manipulation.
A photo can be discriminatory — isn’t a video even worse?
On the contrary — it is far less discriminatory than a photo or other elements on a CV that a recruiter might interpret, because we all have biases.
With 2 Minutes Max, when someone clicks a link or scans a QR code, they are first confronted with a person speaking. You listen before judging, without preconceptions.
It is a very powerful tool against CV-related biases (age, origin, address, disability, etc.).
The video gives candidates their voice back and restores fairness at the application stage, as demonstrated by a study conducted in Canada with a sample of candidates with disabilities.
How do you handle data confidentiality?
2 Minutes Max only collects the data that is strictly necessary to use the platform, and is committed to never sharing your personal data with third parties.
The video file is compressed and linked to the candidate’s account, who decides which company is allowed to access it.
The videos recorded on your profile are hosted in France, on a dedicated server. They are encrypted and can only be viewed by you, by the recipients of the link to whom you provide the access key, or by subscribers of 2 Minutes Max.
Your password is also encrypted in our database and cannot be read by anyone. At any time, from your personal account on the platform, you can:
suspend the visibility of your profile,
permanently delete your account

How is this different from an “elevator pitch”?
It’s exactly that — but better! Imagine stepping into an elevator with the Head of HR from your dream company. They ask: “Who are you, and what are you looking for right now?” With 2 Minutes Max, you’re alone in the elevator. No one is listening. You can record as many takes as you need until you choose the version you like best. Creating a 2’MAX means giving yourself the chance to be in that elevator with many different recruiters — to show who you truly are, without compromising your confidentiality and without the stress of an unprepared first contact.
How is this different from a video résumé?
It’s very different. A 2’MAX is recorded directly on the platform, ensuring the same format for everyone — compressed, unedited, and limited to 2 minutes. A 2’MAX is not public: it can only be viewed by recruiters subscribed to the platform and it cannot be downloaded. Success doesn’t depend on being a great performer on camera, but on the alignment between what you say and what the recruiter is looking for — for all types of jobs, creative or not. And it doesn’t recap your entire background: the résumé is the past; the 2’MAX is the present and the future.
Does a 2'MAX replace a CV?
A 2’MAX does not replace a CV — it complements it:
The CV describes your background and your past.
The 2’MAX focuses on the present and the future. It reveals your personality, motivation, and energy.
For a candidate, it effectively replaces the cover letter, which many recruiters no longer read.
A CV, a 2’MAX, and a few lines in an email — that’s perfect!
And for companies, it often replaces the pre-qualification call or the first video interviews.
I’m not comfortable in front of a camera.
That’s normal — and expected. No studio, no public posting: you simply record yourself from your computer or phone, just like a video call. And you decide who gets access to your secure link, without putting yourself on display.
How do I include my video in a job application?
All the recruiter needs is to click your 2’MAX link. You can send it by email, paste it into an application form, or generate a motivation PDF that replaces the traditional cover letter. You can also add your unique QR code to your résumé. Just make sure to include your viewing key so your recipient can open it if they’re not a 2 Minutes Max subscriber.
Is it really free?
Yes, creating your 2’MAX is free with no commitment. A Premium version is available if you want to go further (view tracking, multiple video profiles, etc.), but it’s optional. The platform is primarily funded by company subscriptions and by employment and training organizations.
Does it take a lot of time?
You’ll need a bit of preparation, yes. But once your video is done, you can share it with all recruiters. No more writing a different cover letter for every application.

Is it really a time-saver for my recruitment process?
Yes — a significant one. Watching a 2’MAX happens after the CV screening stage, replacing phone calls or pre-qualification video interviews. You discover candidates whenever it suits you, in just a few minutes, with no meetings to schedule. Our clients report up to a 50% reduction in Time to Hire, while meeting twice as many candidates.
How does it impact my processes and tools?
Good news: you don’t need to change anything. If your pre-qualification calls or video interviews take too long, 2 Minutes Max fits naturally between the CV and the interview. You keep screening CVs as usual (manually or via your ATS / AI), then invite promising profiles to record their 2’MAX. The process stays the same — but faster and more human.
If I don’t have time to read 200 CVs, how can I watch 200 videos?
You don’t watch them all. You first filter the CVs like you normally do, then invite the 30 to 50 most promising candidates to record their 2’MAX. In 1 hour and 30 minutes, you can discover 25 people instead of calling 10 — and you really see who they are, without CV-related bias.
Why not just schedule a video call from the start?
Because a poorly targeted video call wastes everyone’s time. The 2’MAX is an asynchronous pre-interview: the candidate speaks when they’re ready, and you watch when you are. Result: fewer unnecessary meetings and richer, more focused final interviews.
How can I avoid fake or AI-generated profiles?
2 Minutes Max is built on human authenticity. Every video is recorded by the candidate themselves — no AI, no editing. You hear their real voice, see their natural gestures, and feel their sincerity. It’s the most reliable way to avoid artificial or AI-generated profiles.
How does 2 Minutes Max help reduce bias or discrimination?
By forcing you to listen before judging. When you click a 2’MAX link, you see a person speaking — not a photo or a CV. The format puts all candidates on equal footing, regardless of their background, age, or origin.
Do candidates actually play along?
Yes! Because the format is short, confidential, and empowering. Candidates know they are judged on what they say and their motivation — not on appearances. More than 80% of invited candidates complete their video.
Can I link a job description to an employer video pitch?
Yes. Recruiters can pitch their job offer on video and attach the detailed job description. It’s a dynamic format that attracts more relevant applications and improves the candidate experience.
